Work Halloween Party

I work at a golf and beach club and today is our Halloween party for the club members. The whole clubhouse is decorated and very scary. The life-size Michael Myers is the one that freaks me out the most. He is standing next to my desk in a huge box. He is motion activated and plays the theme music. So now I going around making that creepy noise, almost like the noise Chevy Chase makes in Caddy Shack when he is putting. I am getting used to all this creepiness, but will be glad when all of the hay, cornstalks, and tree branches spray painted black will be gone. They are playing with my allergies. Last year we had over 500 members attend this event, this year we are will only have about 400. I am dressed as a black cat and will be helping with hosting duties. There will be an employee costume contest, but I am not interested in winning. My interests are off-duty at a dart tournament we will be at all weekend. Ghost On The Coast right here in our lovely city of Myrtle Beach, SC. http://ghostonthecoast.com/

Well, have a wonderful and safe holiday! See you on the other side of scary town!

Above is a picture of some of us from last year. I was a hippie, not a real stretch.

Halloween Set-up

Halloween is huge here at work. Today, Oct. 27th, the professional decorators are here setting up. I have a life-size Michael Myers staring at me with a bloody knife and every time someone walks by, the movie theme music starts playing and he moves, moves!!! I have a phobia with mannequins, clowns, and basically anyone who hides their face. These decorations has caused two panic attacks and I am now shaking uncontrollably, making it hard to function. Want to talk about hostile work environment?

One of the websites I HAVE to visit each day is called; http://cakewrecks.blogspot.com/

Since I used to decorate cakes and now work at a private club who has it's own pastry chef, I can relate to this site. The site is just fun and helps me keep a smile on my face.
